About Barbara Tyner
Barbara was born and raised in Colorado, where she still resides. Her childhood love for horses and anything ranch related, led to a life of farming, ranching, and managing a feedlot for over thirty years. She also spearheaded a community foundation that led to the building of a community center, health clinic, and park. After retiring, she returned to school to earn a BA in English and began her writing career. Her favorite hobbies are her grandchildren, hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing.
Her current Middle Grade Novel “Rhyaden” is receiving great reviews: “Rhyaden is a middle-grade fantasy novel, set in world where trees talk and the last living dragon mentors a young man who may be his kingdom’s only hope for freedom from a tyrannical invasion. A parable about how the choices we make define ourselves and our future, as well as a rousing adventure, Rhyaden is a page-turner to the very end. Highly recommended, especially for public and school library young adult fantasy collections.” Midwest Book Review, Children’s Bookwatch August 2018
Other books she has written include “Wait Here, Wait There,” & The Badger Book series of Children’s Literature that tell of farm life through her favorite dog, Badger’s, eyes
